Leading Brands won the 2011 annual report for Gulf Navigation recently and had the creative freedom to create a design direction for the company which emulated strength, solidity and resilience. Through the conceptualisation process we decided to choose bold fonts and deep sea colours, and use images in a striking way which would keep readers engaged while going through the numbers. Charts and tables were formatted in an infographics inspired way which made them visible and easy for the readers to asses quickly. The report was handed out to the board of directors in the company’s AGM and was extremely very well received. The LBP design team really enjoyed working on this project and using very rugged images we don’t normally get to play with.
